The Longneck people, native to Burma, now migrated to Thailand and technically claimed by neither. These people do the tourist thing to survive although this village did look pretty commercial. The rings around the neck were meant to protect the women from being bitten by tigers, now they are more for show than anything else, the long neck is caused by the rings pushing down the collar bone, unfortunately this can cause great pain over time.
